Last night saw us take two horses to the first meeting on the synthetic track for the season and bring home two winners.
The First of our winners was the impressive Domesday horse “Ma Deuce” who controlled the race from the front and sprinted away from them in the straight to win by 4 lengths with Luke Nolen in the saddle. This big boy now boosts a race record of 4 starts for 3 wins and a 2nd, I am sure there is plenty more to come for him as he works his way through the grades.
Greg loves the Domesday breed – having secured yet another one in the superb Domesday / Hourglass filly at the Premier sales that we are already very excited about (see our available horses for more details on her). I am convinced she will add to our winners list in time to come.
Our second winner for the night had to wait for the last race where “Classy Al” raced by the fabulous team at Hancox Racing hit the front on the outside just in time in a very tight 4 way finish to get the bacon with our apprentice Jessica Payne in the saddle. He is a very honest little racehorse who always gives his best and is inching closer to cracking 100K in prizemoney – not bad for an 8K yearling and more proof of the great eyes of Shelley Hancox and Rod Peacock in finding the bargains!
