We came to Sydney wanting this filly, and we got her for $200k. Lot 340 is a lovely bay filly by Ardrossan who stands at Waikato Stud, the nursery of champions in New Zealand. She is a half sister to a Group 1 winner, Amarelinha winner of the of the NZ Oaks. The dam is by O’Reilly one of the great broodmare sires of the world, including Pride of Jenni, Feroce and Espiona in recent times. This filly is also related to North Pacific who is a young sire on the rise.
For those unfamiliar with Ardrossan, check out race 1 from Cranbourne Friday 27th March. Parvenu, a filly trained by Grahame Begg won arrogantly eased down by 4 lengths at her second start.
